My motive for choosing to read this book was primarily based on my spiritual desire to develop an understanding of our new religious leader. Despite much of the controversy that seems to follow this man in the media, I wanted to create my own opinions based on what I felt to be unbiased sources. This book is definitely biased as it favors the Pope , but I did find it to be an incredibly insightful read.
I tried to first read this book by approaching it head on, but quickly realized the writing style did not allow for an easy nor a simple flow. I decided to spammy reading out for a few months, allowing for a much better reading experience. I'm not sure this book was meant to be read all at once, but rather a series of messages and thoughts directed at engaging the reader on smaller levels.
While I do recommend reading this book, I would have preferred a more engaging story of this new leader of the spiritual world.
